The best beach bars in Ibiza and Formentera that you can't miss out on

What would our summers be without beach bars? Enjoying the sunset in Ibiza and Formentera while sipping on a good caipirinha at a beach bar is a unique experience.

Feel the sand on your bare feet, relax to the sound of the waves and move your body to the rhythm of chill out music, because today we’ll show you some of the most emblematic beach bars on the islands. Let yourself go and... Enjoy!

The best beach bars in Ibiza

In both Ibiza and Formentera, 'going to a beach bar' is much more than just having a drink by the sea.

Chiringuitos have become an essential part of the summer, not only for having a drink or enjoying the gastronomy, but also for being a meeting point characterised by a great atmosphere, laughter and 'good vibes'. Enjoy a pleasant evening to the rhythm of the best music of the moment.

Cala Bassa Beach Club

You’ll find the Cala Bassa Beach Club in the magnificent surroundings of Cala Bassa. Today, it’s one of the most popular beach bars on the island and stands out for its three different areas and wide gastronomic offer. In addition, every day you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy live music performances.

El Bigotes

If you want to try one of the best bullits de peix on the island, you can't miss 'El Bigotes', a beach bar located in Cala Mastella, in Santa Eulària des Riu. They have been preparing bullit de peix the same way for more than fifty years and... It shows!

Maria's beach bar

If you're more into fresh fish and seafood, María's beach bar, located on some rocks on Talamanca beach is your best option. It’s one of the most authentic beach bars, simple but charming and with exceptional views.

Chiringuito ALMA

On the beach of Port des Torrent, in Sant Antoni, you’ll find this beach bar that not only stands out for its ecological and healthy gastronomic offer, but also offers various wellness-related activities, such as massages and other outdoor activities.

Blue

This beach bar is also known for its Mediterranean cuisine, based on healthy, high quality and local produce, as well as for its wide range of vegetarian options!

It also collaborates with an organisation dedicated to the preservation of the environment and is a good place to go with children.

Other beach bars you can visit in Ibiza are Cala Bonita, located in the cove of s'Estanyol and with a rustic atmosphere you'll fall in love with; Cala Escondida in Cala de Racó d'en Xic, with unforgettable sunsets; or the Kumharas beach bar, with a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere located in the bay of Sant Antoni.

The best beach bars in Formentera

Bartolo

One of the most special beach bars in Formentera is Bartolo, a small wooden house painted in shades of blue and purple, located at the end of Migjorn beach, very close to Caló d'es Mort.  It is known not only for its incredible views, but also for its homemade hamburgers, considered to be the best on the island.

Blue Bar

On Migjorn beach you’ll also find the Blue Bar beach bar, with great views and exquisite calamari. It’s a typical beach construction painted in blue that you’ll access through a small dirt track.

If you're looking for a beach bar to relax and enjoy a more bohemian atmosphere, less crowded and perfect places are the Chiringuito Pirata Bus, in Es Caló, or Kiosko 62, in Platja de Migjorn. Ah! And don't forget to try one of their mojitos... You'll love it!
