6 reasons why you should travel to Ibiza during low season

Why is it a good choice to travel to Ibiza during off season? Ibiza is known par excellence as one of the most visited islands, both in Spain and worldwide. Particularly from May to October (both included) is when it sees most touristic demand. This time frame coincides with the opening and closing of the macro nightclubs, discos and DJ shows. The most frequented months are still July and August. For this reason, your experience visiting Ibiza isn’t the same depending on the month you choose for your trip. However, people are increasingly inclined to travelling to Ibiza in the off-season months, and in this post we explain six reasons why:

1. It’s less overwhelming

The months of July and August are usually the ones where most business grant their vacations, and thus are the months where most people can enjoy their holidays, given the good weather and conditions set for this. The fact that there are fewer people implies that one can be more relaxed at the beaches, it won’t be so overwhelming and the nightclubs won’t be overcrowded (unless you decide to come during the closure period which is also a known tourist attraction). Similarly, it’s easier to find a table at restaurants or local bars, and there are less obstacles when hiring any type of service.

2. It’s cheaper

As is logical, as Ibiza’s tourist influx decreases, so do the prices of hotel establishments, apartments, and leisure activities. The price of car rentals also decreases, and the idea of finding accommodation which better fits the quality-price ratio becomes more feasible, and we may find a wider variety of options in general.

3. Good weather is not an issue

You won’t find the extreme heat characteristic of the months of July and August, but really you’ll appreciate this. The temperature during the months of May, June or September in the island of Ibiza are still very pleasant, allowing you to live as if it were mid-summer, but without such sweltering heat. Moreover, the water is still at ideal temperature and it’s not yet cold at night.

4. It’s the ideal time to travel as a couple or to visit with your family

The intense nightlife and partying starts to decline, which means that if you’re aiming for a relaxed time to travel with your partner or family, visiting Ibiza during this time is an excellent choice. Practically everything is still open on the same conditions and timetables, but the reduced strain implies an added tranquility if you decide to travel with children.

5. It’s your last chance to say farewell to the summer by regaining your energy

The island holds numerous hidden corners you can explore, trails, coves for you to discover and places to visit. It’s the ideal time to travel to Ibiza in order to enjoy the last break before going back to the work or academic world, or any of our many responsibilities.

6. It’s easier to move around in the sea

At Aquabus we still offer our services during the off-season. Moreover, you can also take the advantage of being able to book much less in advance and receiving a more personalised treatment, given that you’d be avoiding the overbooking that is so typical of the summer months.
